Foster Evolution

Foster's specialization has always been in step with the times, bringing the company to become a reference point in the sector thanks to its renowned elegance and refined design, able to combine beauty and functionality. The Seventies marked its birth with deep moulding technology and consolidated its production with built-in sinks, the evolution of the modular kitchen and the diffusion of the stainless-steel sink.

In the Eighties, Foster with its enamelled sinks responded to the fashions that imposed the colour of the hob and in 1984 it was ready for the great success of the first ventilated oven. In the same year also the first functional centre by Foster was born, a concentrated of elegance and practicality, offering at hand a 4-burner hob, a ventilated electric oven, a dishwasher and a basket for objects. Only two years later, the Speciali Inox came onto the market, thanks to which Foster became the leading company in Europe for the design and manufacture of worktops with integrated cooking and sink. At the end of the decade, the proposal for a sink with elegant angular shapes was born, combined with functional accessories.

Foster Evolution

The nineties are marked by the advent of a wide range of interchangeable accessories, the result of twenty years of great commercial success. Foster creates for the first time a personalized preparation area, practical built-in solutions for rinsing and drying dishes, large and capacious tubs with worldwide success, which allow the sink to become a place for washing and preparation, and new functional and design hobs.

The new century opens with the Rondò collection, which combines a unique and refined design with the compactness of the products: sink, hob and extractor hood are designed to be elegant and functional in small spaces. In these years Foster has come to the creation of a brilliant steel surface, easy to clean and scratch-resistant.

The first decade of the 2000s is characterized by the concept of Design for all, therefore of a product accessible and usable by anyone, and by prestigious collaborations, such as the creation of a line of household appliances with Alessi. Minimalist style collections are created and there is a desire to offer professional products with excellent performance and attention to energy saving. The last few years are linked to a phase of research and improvement of Foster's products, from which a series of hobs, sinks and mixers is born, the result of experience and professionalism.

Foster's attitude is a combination of innovation linked to functional design and respect for the environment, which has enabled the company to become a leader in the sector without neglecting the sustainability and environmental impact of its business.

Foster works every day to reduce the energy impact of each phase of the company and designs quality household appliances that offer high performance and respect the environment. Foster has been a spokesman for energy saving since 2005, becoming the first company to use gas burners with high energy efficiency and low consumption. In 2008 he joined the Club Imprese per la Natura established by the WWF and is always at the forefront of the creation of functional products that respect the environment.

Foster branded products have become a reference point for design: synonymous with quality, they enjoy finishes that give the steel brilliance, aesthetic elegance and ease of cleaning, guaranteeing durability over time.

Foster Quality

Among the most prestigious awards we find the nomination for the Compasso D'Oro with the design of the Rondò collection, the Pulchra Competition "The 100 most beautiful things in the world", in which the Foster S4000 stainless steel top is selected by a jury of experts.

In 2019 Foster is the protagonist in the prestigious Milanese design contest in the Kitchen category and wins the award for its functional, original and innovative design thanks to the Milanello sink. Laminar, a worktop in AISI 316 steel, obtains the Qualitech Technology award 2020; among the reasons, the ability to solve the problem of maintaining the horizontal axis in any worktop in navigation is highlighted. The outline sink and hob collection win the arch products design awards in 2022.
